Project overview
The project inherited the game and technical foundations of World of Tanks Blitz, but since 2022 it has evolved in its own ecosystem of monetisation, LiveOps, meta content, stores, and in-game events. The team’s goal is to relaunch the game as an independent regional product with refreshed UX, faster content delivery, and stronger internal services.
Tanks Blitz is in post-launch transformation: a large-scale UX and visual ecosystem redesign, phased replacement of core infrastructure and internal services, refreshed meta content and stores, and a transition to a flexible modular architecture.
Goal
Create an independent client with refreshed meta and core UX/UI, a new store, events, and visual language; build scalable meta infrastructure and navigation; introduce a shared UX/UI design system; improve monetisation; and protect retention, DAU, conversion, and daily engagement.
Product stage
Post-launch transformation combining large-scale UX redesign with new feature integration, versioned releases, and strict quality control. The focus is both on current outcomes and a foundation for future UX architecture.
Established design principles, a design system framework, naming, tokens, and client-engine synchronisation. Introduced atomic design for meta interfaces; designed user flows, information architecture, navigation, and feature entry scenarios; ran player research and implementation QA; and shipped key meta features.
The inherited ecosystem required refactoring without breaking compatibility. A dense feature set called for an atomic, LiveOps-ready UI/UX approach and future-facing UX architecture.
